THE Manila Times will release the eighth edition of the TMT 500 and the Next 500, highlighting the opportunities and challenges presented by artificial intelligence (AI).

The publication features contributions from more than 60 thought leaders, policymakers, business executives, academics and diplomats. The 200-page edition — excluding data tables and advertisements — explores AI’s impact on corporate innovation, governance, public policy and international partnerships.

Among the contributors from the public sector are former Department of Tourism assistant secretary Sharlene Alisha Zabala-Batin and political scientist, policy expert and The Manila Times columnist Merliza Makinano, who offer perspectives on national development and governance.

The publication also features insights from European Union Ambassador Massimo Santoro, Malaysian Ambassador Malik Melvin Castelino, French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Philippines Managing Director Kevin Charuel, and Hermod Buster Allertsen, founder and CEO of Proactive Resources Inc., providing international perspectives on trade, diplomacy and economic cooperation.

The evolving financial landscape is examined by Lito Villanueva, executive vice president and chief innovation and inclusion officer of Rizal Commercial Banking Corp., and founding chairman of Fintech Alliance.Ph; Ida Ceniza Tiongson, governance and fintech advocate and trustee of the Blockchain Council of the Philippines; Eduardo Francisco, president of BDO Capital & Investment Corp.; Bettina Martinez de Joya, the firm’s associate director for corporate finance; and Cosette Canilao, president and CEO of Aboitiz InfraCapital.
