Those hunting for their next true crime binge should look no further than a powerful series that will appeal to Line of Duty enthusiasts.
Delhi Crime arrived on Netflix in 2019, dramatising the police investigation to apprehend those responsible for the Nirbhaya case - the 2012 Delhi gang rape and murder, reports the Express.
The brutal sexual assault and killing of physiotherapy student Jyoti Singh provoked worldwide horror and fury, triggering protests throughout India. Delhi Crime features Shefali Shah as Officer Vartika Chaturvedi, Mirzapur's Rajesh Tailang as Inspector Bhupendra Singh, The Life of Pi's Adil Hussain as Kumar Vijay, and Denzil Smith (Tenet, Beecham House) as ADDL. The seven-episode series made history in 2020 as the first Indian production to secure an International Emmy Award.
The show's success spawned two additional seasons, though the inaugural run remains widely regarded as amongst the finest crime dramas on television.
